Danish Arshad
In his position as the Executive Director of the EC-Council, Danish leads the Global Information
Security Consulting and Advisory wing of the company, alongside expanding the EC-Council
Enterprise division in North America. Currently, he is expanding EC-Council operations within
Canada, and working with the Canadian Government to launch a comprehensive set of
Cybersecurity Standards for Data privacy and security in Canada.
Being an Information Security evangelist, he has played a pivotal role in making the EC-Council
the default entity for enterprises and governments in over 145 countries to upscale their
information security teams.
Danish was one of the founding members of the EC-Council consulting and advisory division
that now consults some of the largest BFSI, Telco, and government entities in the world. With a
background in hands-on training in the development of Advance Information Security,
leadership cyber maturity training, combined with consulting experience, he has helped
organizations across the globe in building up their information security blueprint.
He has also led the EC-Council CISO (Chief Information Security Officer), and CAST (Center of
Advance Information Security Training) divisions internationally, where he organized global
summits to bring together key C-Suite stakeholders of public listed companies and discussed
methods of tackling critical issues related to cybersecurity in their region.
Danish often speaks in several conferences globally on Information security trends and best
practices, and has been featured in various publications and local newspapers in Malaysia,
Canada and the Middle East.
In his spare time, Danish likes to play sports, especially basketball, cricket, and soccer. He also
loves to travel.
We welcome Danish onto our Advisory Board, and hope that students interested in a career in
Information Security can get in touch with him in the future!
