Over the years, Mr Khan has gained broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently, he is a self-employed pharmaceutical advisor and consultant. Previously, for eight years, he was the Country President and Chief Executive Officer at Novartis Pharma Pakistan, following which he joined Pfizer Pakistan in the position of CEO, for four years.

Mr Khan started his career at Hoechst Pakistan, as the Manager of Quality Control, and later went on to become the Pharma Factory Manager. In his position as Factory Manager, he was responsible for Pharma technical operations, logistics, production planning, hiring and training personnel, and dealing with worker unions and Ministry of Health officials.

He went on to join Sandoz Pakistan, in the position of Technical Director, and later became the Pharma Head. As Head, Mr Khan was responsible for the pharmaceutical operations of the company in Pakistan, managing sales, marketing, and medical and technical operations amongst others. Between his time as Technical Director and Pharma Head in Pakistan, he joined Sandoz, Canada, for a two-year period, as Director of Scientific Development.
