Fatima Ahmed
Fatima joined AbCellera in 2016, where she has worked on single-cell assays for AbCellera’s high throughput antibody discovery platform, developed novel immunization strategies applicable in a variety of species, and lead discovery projects focusing on high homology targets and infectious diseases.
She has over a decade of experience in academic, industry and NGO settings, in multiple countries. Previously, she worked at a public health organization in Pakistan, supporting the coordination of a GAVI project for reducing mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B.
Over the past seven years, she has volunteered her time to provide support to immigrants, refugees, and vulnerable women and children, through settlement services, mentorship, and mindfulness-based therapy.
In her spare time, Fatima enjoys scuba diving, snowboarding, reading and traveling.
We welcome Fatima onto our Advisory Board, and hope that students interested in a career in Scientific Research can get in touch with her in the future!
